I was diagnosed (after arguing with the ER Dr. who said I had conjunctivitis) with Iritis in my right eye about 3 weeks ago. Treatment, after seeing my opthamologist the next day, was Prednosolone (sp) drops for 15 days, gradually weaning off them. I have been off the drops for about 5 days now. Two days ago I woke up with vision loss in that same eye with no pain. When I look at something white, that area appears red. I also noticed later in the day, a thin line "extension" to this original area as tho' something were bleeding inside my eye. This is quite a large area in my vision making it difficult to read and an "odd" feeling when I walk or drive (almost a "lopsided" feeling). I should also say that I am diabetic and have some neuropathy in both eyes but this was my better eye. Has anyone else experienced this and should I see an opthamologist? If there's nothing that can be done for this symptom, then I would choose not to go as funds are extremely limited. Thank you for any advice or comments.
