Some of my blood tests have come in .... not the STD set. My ESR is critical H. Does that mean I have an STD. I have been with the same partner for almost 30 years. Is it possible to have an undetermined STD all that time. Would I not have been checked for these when I was pregnant

Methatrexate

After I had my child I became sick with inflammatory arthritis and within a month had it in 14 different joints. I went on methatrexate for a year and then went off it. Within a approximately a year later, I started having problems with my eye. I have been told it is nothing and only in last 4 years have been told it is iritis/uveritis. Is there a connection?

I am going to see a specialist in another city. The doctor has requested a series of blood tests as well as a chest x-ray. Are there a standard series of tests and what are they.

I'm 40 years old and started a flare-up 3 days prior to a big family wedding. STRESS? This time the pain, redness and "sand in my eye feeling" was also accompanied by sinus pressure and pain, jaw pain and pain at the base of my skull. When I told my doctor the ice-pick in my cheek feeling he just mumbled and told me my eyes were not bad at all and to take pred forte 4 times a day. I don't suffer from headaches, could this be one? Any advice?

Hi I'm from the UK. My Mum has suffered recurrent flare ups of iritis since having an operation on her eye circa 1940's. My concern is that she now has dementia and is in a nursing home and recently she has been having a permanent pink eye but the nursing home GP says it is conjunctivitis. She also has bright red " panda " rings around her eye the GP says it's because she cannot understand not to scratch them.

I am writing this post with my faithfull bottle of Pred Forte beside me. Vision is slightly blurry in right eye and it feels a little tingly but it is definitely better than it was. Suppose I better start from the beginning. I am 23 and was first diagnosed with Iritis about 10 years ago while I was still at high school. My right eye was affected and the problem lasted for a couple of months, the treatment was the dilater drop(mydrilate), steriod drop(Maxidex)...

I started getting Iritis about 6 years ago and after an initial break of about 10 months after my 1st attack, I never seem free of it now. I have what they call Chronic Iritis/Urevitis and am also a steriod responder. Therefore continued use of Pred Forte created caratact formation (both eyes) so I now have IOL's, but it wasn't happy to stop there, I have now developed glucoma and am going in for surgery for a trabeculectomy on Monday next week as my pressures are 30+ and are not...

Hi. I have had recurrent iritis since 2002, and am about to have a CAA class 1 medical to be an air traffic controller. Does anyone know/have any experience of this? Does anyone know if they are likely pass me based on this condition?

Iritis and Ibuprofen

Hello, I wonder if anyone could help me with a question I have. I have had Iritis 4 times between July 04 and June 06 but since I have started taking Ibuprofen in August 2006 to help ease my arthritis I have not have Iritis since. My GP says that there is no reason why Ibuprofen would prevent me getting Iritis but I wondered if any one else has found Ibuprofen to be beneficial? Thanks in advance!
